Summary: Collaborates with the Department Head to assess staff educational needs, develop and evaluate training programs, and ensure competency validation.

• Plans and conducts educational sessions for unit orientation, skills training, clinical practice, and professional development.
• Evaluates program effectiveness and provides expert consultation to other units.
• Develops care standards and acts as a liaison with Educational Resources.
• Manages educational funding and supports staff projects.
• Participates in hospital committees, contributes to performance appraisals, and ensures compliance with policies.
• Adapts methods to meet patients' developmental and cultural needs.
• Performs duties protecting patient confidentiality and upholding organizational values.
  
  

Education: BSN required.

Experience: 5 years in the specialty area, with adult education experience.

Licenses: RN license in Texas, CPR certification; ACLS/PALS preferred.
