The Registered Nurse Lactation Counselor provides expert breastfeeding support through assessments, personalized care plans, and education to mothers and infants.

• Responsibilities include in-person consultations, follow-up calls, collaboration with healthcare teams, and staff training.
• Key duties involve patient education on breastfeeding techniques, addressing lactation challenges, and ensuring continuity of care post-discharge.
• Supports program development, quality improvement, and promotes lactation resources within the facility.
• Requires an ADN or higher, RN licensure, IBCLC certification, BLS, and experience in lactation and maternal-infant care.
• Work schedule is three 12-hour days, full-time. Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills are essential.
