The Pediatric Surgical Unit Nurse provides independent, skilled care in a clinical setting, managing routine and complex cases with a focus on long-term planning and contingency management.

• Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, post-operative care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Special emphasis is on managing tracheostomy care with ventilator support and respiratory conditions, addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Provides education to patients and families, documents care activities, and makes appropriate assignments and delegations.
• Qualifications include a BSN preferred, at least 1 year of relevant experience, BLS certification, and RN licensure in the state or compact. The shift is from 7PM to 7AM, full-time.
