The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level registered nurse role in the Clinical Advancement Program, responsible for providing coordinated, competent care to hemodialysis patients.

• Performs assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations, collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Delegates tasks to care staff, administers medications, and assists with emergency responses.
• Educates patients and families about treatment options and maintains documentation.
• Ensures safety, lab procedures, and quality improvement activities are followed.
• Requires RN licensure, BLS certification, and recent nephrology or dialysis experience preferred; new grads are welcome with structured training.
• Physical demands include lifting, standing, and moving equipment; work environment involves healthcare settings with exposure to infectious materials.
• Supervisory duties may include oversight of care staff after onboarding.
